Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Gender: Gender and Social Welfare Development undergo a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published articles.

1. Initial Screening

The editorial team evaluates submitted manuscripts to ensure they comply with the journal’s focus and scope, author guidelines, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected without review.

2. Double-Blind Peer Review

Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers using a double-blind review system, where both authors and reviewers remain anonymous.

3. Review Criteria

Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:

  • Originality and novelty
  • Relevance to the journal scope
  • Methodological rigor
  • Clarity of presentation
  • Contribution to knowledge and practice

4. Review Decision

Based on reviewers’ comments, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

  • Accept without revision
  • Accept with minor revisions
  • Revise and resubmit (major revisions)
  • Reject

5. Revision Process

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with reviewers’ and editors’ comments and resubmit within the specified timeframe.

6. Final Decision

The final decision regarding publication is made by the editor based on the reviewers’ recommendations and the revised manuscript.

7. Confidentiality

All manuscripts and review processes are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers must not share or use any unpublished information.
