Screening for Plagiarism Policy

Jurnal Gender: Gender and Social Welfare Development is committed to maintaining academic integrity and ensuring the originality of all published works. Therefore, every manuscript submitted to the journal will undergo a plagiarism screening process before being reviewed.

1. Screening Process

All submitted manuscripts are checked using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin, iThenticate, or other reliable tools.

2. Similarity Index

  • The maximum acceptable similarity index is 20%.
  • Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be rejected or returned to the authors for revision.

3. Types of Plagiarism

The journal strictly prohibits all forms of plagiarism, including:

  • Direct plagiarism (copying text without proper citation)
  • Self-plagiarism
  • Paraphrasing without proper acknowledgment
  • Data and idea plagiarism

4. Editorial Action

If plagiarism is detected at any stage (before or after publication), the editorial team will take appropriate actions, including:

  • Immediate rejection of the manuscript
  • Request for revision
  • Retraction of published articles (if necessary)

5. Author Responsibility

Authors are responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original and properly cite all sources. Proper quotation and referencing must be applied in accordance with academic standards.
