Publication Ethics
Jurnal Gender: Gender and Social Welfare Development is committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics and takes all possible measures against publication malpractice. This statement is based on the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
1. Duties of Authors
- Authors must ensure that their work is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
- Proper acknowledgment of the work of others must always be given through appropriate citation.
- Authors should not engage in plagiarism, data fabrication, or falsification.
- All authors must have significantly contributed to the research and approve the final manuscript.
- Authors must disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest.
- Errors discovered after publication must be promptly reported to the editor.
2. Duties of Editors
- Editors are responsible for deciding which manuscripts are accepted for publication.
- Editors evaluate manuscripts based on academic merit without discrimination.
- Editors must ensure confidentiality of submitted manuscripts.
- Editors must not use unpublished materials for personal research without author consent.
- Editors must take responsive measures when ethical concerns arise.
3. Duties of Reviewers
- Reviewers assist editors in making editorial decisions and improving manuscript quality.
- Reviews should be conducted objectively and constructively.
- Reviewers must maintain confidentiality of manuscripts.
- Reviewers should identify relevant published work not cited by the authors.
- Reviewers must disclose conflicts of interest and decline review if necessary.
4. Publication Ethics Issues
- Plagiarism in any form is unacceptable.
- Multiple or concurrent publication is prohibited.
- Data fabrication and falsification are serious ethical violations.
- Proper acknowledgment of sources must be ensured.
5. Ethical Oversight
- Research involving human participants must comply with ethical standards and include informed consent.
- Any ethical clearance (if applicable) must be clearly stated in the manuscript.
