Gender and Social Welfare Development is a scientific journal that focuses on the advancement of social welfare studies from a gender perspective, both within academic discourse and in pragmatic, applied contexts. This journal aims to serve as a platform for knowledge dissemination that promotes the integration of theory, concepts, and practice in efforts to enhance community welfare in an inclusive and gender-equitable manner.

The journal accepts manuscripts in the form of empirical research and conceptual studies. Research articles emphasize the analysis of empirical developments grounded in theoretical and conceptual frameworks within the field of social welfare, with particular attention to gender dynamics across diverse social contexts. Meanwhile, conceptual studies focus on critical and in-depth explorations of theories, concepts, and empirical phenomena relevant to social welfare and gender issues.

Substantively, the studies published in this journal are developed through two main approaches: thematic-based and intervention-based. The thematic approach addresses strategic issues such as employment relations and corporate social responsibility, empowerment and poverty alleviation, children and families, health and social welfare, disability, elderly welfare, social policy and planning, human services management, program evaluation, and the interconnection between social welfare and environmental issues.

The intervention-based approach highlights a range of strategies and practices in addressing social problems, including policy interventions, community-based interventions, organizational interventions, group interventions, as well as interventions for individuals and families. This approach seeks to bridge the gap between theory and practice by producing intervention models that are applicable, contextual, and sustainable.

Through this scope, Gender and Social Welfare Development is expected to contribute to the strengthening of social welfare scholarship while also generating a tangible impact on the development of policies and practices for social interventions that are responsive to gender issues.
